We appreciate every volunteer! You can choose to join us as a board member and actively champion every young woman who competes for Miss Oregon Volunteer or Miss Oregon Teen Volunteer. Plus, board members help us ensure that every contestant has the ability to earn thousands of dollars in scholarships.
Or, we need support throughout our season at various fundraising events and the weekend of the pageant. Just let us know how you want to serve. We have a seat for you at the table!
Administration: General office support, data entry and lookup, research, and other virtual support.
Rising Stars Competition: This will be a full-day event offered to young people, age 0-12 years, to compete in four areas of competition. This is a fundraiser for the Miss Oregon Volunteer Organization. We need help with planning, judging, marketing, the day of support, etc.
Meal Prep Manager: We are seeking volunteers that love making food for a large crowd. These volunteers can either cook or help find sponsors for meals for our contestants during pageant weekend. Bring your BFF and a fun personality!
Dressing Room Staff: Volunteers with sewing experience, encouraging personalities, and a nurturing approach to others is wanted during our pageant weekend. This is a position that is in constant contact with the contestants so it will require a background check at the volunteer cost.
Trade Show Manager: We are looking for a volunteer that enjoys bringing together different businesses that can benefit from our diverse audience by providing product/services to present/sale to our crowd. This individual will contact vendors, map out the vendor set-up, answer questions/concerns before, during, and after the pageant. Set-up is Friday with a crowd on Friday and Saturday night.
House Manager: This volunteer will oversee the pageant night ushers and be responsible for answering questions or concerns about seating/tickets. You will work closely with our assigned Executive Board Member during both nights of the pageant.
Ushering: Work under the direction of House Manager, take tickets, seat patrons, assist House Manager during intermission and after the show is over. Ushers get to see the show the night they volunteer. There are two nights of competition. Choose to volunteer at one or both.
